Get ready for an electrifying experience as DEVO and The B-52s prepare to launch their highly anticipated "Cosmic De-Evolution Tour" on Wednesday, September 24th. This marks a historic moment, as it is the very first time these two iconic alternative rock bands will join forces for a tour.
The tour will kick off at the Budweiser Stage in Toronto, and from there, the bands will travel to various cities, including Clarkston, Michigan; Mansfield, Massachusetts; Los Angeles, California; Charlotte, North Carolina; Alpharetta, Georgia; and Austin, Texas, among others, wrapping up in early November. Notably, DEVO will take a brief detour to perform at the Oceans Calling 2025 festival in Ocean City, Maryland, on September 28th.

The "Cosmic De-Evolution Tour" has garnered enough excitement to earn a spot on our list of "The 10 Most Unique Tours to Catch in Fall 2025." This is not just another concert series; it’s a celebration of two bands that have shaped the music landscape, both featuring three original members who are currently on what they have described as their farewell tours.
The idea for this inspired pairing came about when DEVO and The B-52s performed together at the 50th anniversary celebration of Saturday Night Live earlier this year, with Fred Armisen drumming for both groups. "When we played at the SNL50 concert at Radio City, we started chatting and realized we had to make this tour happen," said Cindy Wilson of The B-52s in a press statement. "Believe it or not, we’ve only shared the stage at a couple of festivals over the years. This is going to be incredible, and I can’t wait for The B-52s to perform alongside DEVO!"
Mark Mothersbaugh from DEVO added, "The B-52s had one of the most distinctive sounds of the late '70s and early '80s. It feels like fate, luck, or perhaps the SNL anniversary brought us together for this amazing opportunity to tour. All I can say is that Cosmic Devolution is indeed REAL!"
