Get ready, Formula 1 fans in the U.S.! Apple is revving its engines as the exclusive new broadcast partner for the sport, promising an exciting season ahead. This partnership marks a significant shift in how fans will experience the thrill of Formula 1.
Starting October 17, 2025, Apple TV subscribers will have complete access to all the action. This includes every practice session, qualifying round, Sprint session, and of course, the Grands Prix. But that's not all! Some races and all practice sessions will also be available for free through the Apple TV app.
And this is where Apple's commitment goes beyond just broadcasting. They're integrating Formula 1 into their entire ecosystem. Expect to see the sport amplified across Apple News, Apple Maps, Apple Music, and Apple Fitness+. Plus, the Apple Sports app, a free app for iPhone users, will provide live updates for every qualifying session, Sprint, and race. You'll get real-time leaderboards, driver and constructor standings, Live Activities on your Lock Screen, and a handy widget for your Home Screen.
But here's where it gets really exciting... The highly anticipated film, F1 The Movie, is set to make its global streaming debut on Apple TV on December 12, 2025. This movie has already taken the world by storm, breaking box office records. It debuted at No. 1 and has grossed over $629 million globally. Not only is it the highest-grossing sports film, but it's also this year’s highest-grossing original feature, and the biggest opening for an original live-action film in the U.S. in the last five years. Even Brad Pitt's highest-grossing feature to date. The film has received an “A” CinemaScore and an impressive 97 percent audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, solidifying its reputation as the most authentic racing feature ever made.
Apple TV offers a vast library of content, including dramas, sci-fi, comedies, documentaries, and family entertainment, in addition to live sports. It's available on all your favorite screens. Since its launch in 2019, Apple TV has expanded its library to include hundreds of exclusive Apple Originals, with thousands of hours of premium programming and new releases every week. Apple Original films, documentaries, and series have already earned 629 wins and 2,845 award nominations.
